To get started, remove the plastic cover from your canvas and lay it out on a flat surface. Printed directly on the canvas is a chart that outlines which symbols correspond with each color of diamonds. Choose a diamond color to start and begin placing it on the canvas. It’s best to work on a small section at a time. You can re-cover the canvas with the plastic cover when you aren’t working on it.

To apply the diamonds, remove the pen’s cap and touch the tip to the canvas. The putty on the tip adheres to the diamond, allowing you to pick it up and place it on the canvas. If the pen runs out of putty, you can re-fill it by pinching and removing the old tip and cartridge from the pen. Fill the new cartridge with putty and return the tip to the pen, re-assembling it as instructed.
