The 2025 Equinox EV by Go City Chevy

By Go City Chevy

The Chevrolet EV 2025 at Go City Chevy is one of the more appealing electric vehicles on the market, thanks to its blend of family-friendly space and state-of-the-art tech. It’s also relatively affordable and eligible for a federal tax credit.

This front-wheel-drive EV packs 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque into an 85-kilowatt battery pack that can do 319 miles on a charge, according to the EPA.

Aside from a slight hit in acceleration (it takes longer to get going), the Equinox EV drives much like its gas-powered sibling. The steering is a little more busy than you might expect from an SUV that’s not a sedan, but it’s still fairly responsive.

The infotainment system is easy to use, with large digital displays that show the expected information. Physical knobs and buttons are available for some functions, but most can be controlled by touch or voice. We like the ability to reconfigure the display based on your preferences. There’s standard adaptive cruise control with lane-centering functionality, too.

Chevrolet’s plug-in hybrid version of the Equinox is a better choice for those who need hauling capacity or want to go further on a single charge, but this EV is the one to consider if you’re looking for an everyday commuter that’s good-looking, comfortable and reasonably priced. It’s a solid alternative to the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and other competing models.
